Drop Off FAQ’s
Items Accepted
-
Check out our video!
-
Unfortunately we cannot accept any items with tape on them. We suggest recycling the items or throwing them away.
-
The needs of our customers change. We also have limited space so if an item is not needed on a consistent basis, we will remove it from our list.
-
If dropping off at a drop-off point, staple your paper bag, or seal the poly bag. If dropping off at a collection event or our storage unit, keep the packing peanuts in a garbage bag or box until we transfer them into our own containers.
Collection Points & Campaigns
-
2 paper grocery bags of materials are accepted per person.
-
Nope! Paper bags only please! If you don’t have paper bags, you can transfer your items directly into a bin at the location.
-
The collection point is either full and unable to take anymore donations, or EcoShip is on a pause. Check our calendar and social media account for more information!
-
EcoShip now offers a year-long collection program for businesses, schools, and apartment/condo complexes. Email us for pricing.
Bulk Drop-offs
-
If you have a bulk drop off or your local collection point is full and cannot accept your donation, you can drop it off at our new headquarters in West Town, located at 1947 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622. If you have a carload of materials, please schedule a drop-off so that our staff can be prepared. Smaller drop-offs will be accepted on a walk-in basis during our business hours.
-
Yes! Every small and large amount is accepted.
-
Boxes (gently used and brand new) are only accepted at our headquarters. We will not accept them at collection events or collection sites due to space restrictions.
